I know it’s a facile effect… The parallel between the altar of the ancestors
and the TV set, each in its own niche, the real dead and the fake living, standing
guard at the threshold of the home… Is it my fault if this couple from Okinawa
invented the arrangement, if they struck the pose all on their own?
